Ibn Battuta Awards for Travel Literature
The Ibn Battuta Prize for Geographic Literature was established in 2003 as part of the "Irtiyad Al-Afaq" project, launched by the Arab Center for Geographic Literature from Abu Dhabi, an Arab non-profit cultural institution concerned with Arab and Islamic geographical literature. Its projects are sponsored by the poet Mohammed Ahmed Al-Suwaidi, supervised by the poet Nouri Al-Jarrah, and contributed to the work of the center by a significant team of Arab researchers, intellectuals and academics, Eastern and Moroccan.
